A Brief History
Of My Artist Journey
By Shirley Wallitsch
“My art is a reflection of my journey from the vast landscapes of Wyoming to the bustling Northeastern United States, where my creativity is deeply intertwined with the essence of creation and the human spirit. Drawing from my roots, I explore a diverse range of techniques that allow me to follow my intuition and respond emotionally to my surroundings.
Nature is my primary muse, influencing both the vibrant colors and intricate textures that define my work. From the delicate shades of flowers to the rich hues of minerals, each color carries its own emotional resonance. By exploring their interplay, I create artwork that evolves with each stroke and layer.
I work across various mediums, continuously experimenting with techniques such as splattering, pouring, and layering. These explorations yield different textures and visual dimensions, which I refine into cohesive series that capture the multifaceted nature of our world.
My artistic vision oscillates between abstraction and representation, allowing me to interpret and convey the essence of both natural and emotional landscapes. Through this exploration, I aim to evoke a deep sense of connection and introspection in those who experience my art."
